Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between percentage and percentile?
Percentage is your marks out of total (80/100 = 80%). Percentile is your relative rank (90th percentile means you scored higher than 90% of candidates). You can get 70% marks but 95th percentile if most scored below 70%.
How is JEE percentile calculated?
JEE Percentile = ((Total candidates − Your rank) / Total candidates) × 100. With 10 lakh candidates and rank 50,000: ((10,00,000 − 50,000) / 10,00,000) × 100 = 95th percentile.
