How BMI is Calculated
BMI = Weight (kg) ÷ Height² (m²). For 70 kg at 170 cm: 70/(1.70)² = 24.2
Limitations
BMI does not distinguish muscle from fat. Use waist-to-hip ratio alongside BMI for accuracy.

- Underweight: Nutrient deficiency, weakened immunity
- Overweight/Obese: Diabetes, heart disease, hypertension
Healthy Goals
Aim for BMI 18.5–22.9. Even a 5–10% weight reduction significantly improves health markers.
